"Bring" List and "DO NOT Bring" List for Day Camp 07

Dust off the fishing poles and hunt up that special hat--it's Fishing Derby Time!  Mark you calendar for April 14, 2007.  This year the Fishing Derby will be held at Lake Shirley on the Boy Scout side of Camp Wisdom.  The fun begins at 9 am--rain or shine.  The cost is $7.00 if registered by April 5.  Turn in your fee to your Den Leader.  The cost will be $10.00 the day of the event.  Tigers, Wolves, and Bears will use worms which will be provided.  Webelos will use artificial bait.  Bring your own if you have it. 

Here's the Tournement Rules:

1. Only registered Cub Scouts may fish and each Cub is limited to 1 fishing pole.
2. Any fish caught may be weighed in.
3. NO parents or siblings are allowed to fish.
4. Parents can assist in CASTING and REMOVAL of the fish only.
5. The area must remain clean.
6. Each Tiger, Wolf and Bear Cub will be issued 1 worm cup to be reused throughout the event.

The GracePlace~Duncanville Church of Christ will host the God & Me Religious Award Training on Wednesdays April 4-May 2, 2007.  This special award is a part of the God & Country Award recognized by Boy Scouts of America.  The God & Me curriculum is designed to help students in grades 1-3  become best friends with Jesus and tell their story of "God & Me" together.  Students will make games and keep them in their very own game box.  These games will reinforce the Bible lessons and provide opportunity for families to explore God's love and provide opportunities for families to explore God's love  together.  This is a non-demominational study and will begin at 7 pm sharp on Wednesdays April4-May2 at  The GracePlace in room 230.  The religious award earned for this course is one of the few awards that can remain on a boys uniform when he bridges to Boy Scouts.  The cost of the course is $15.00 which includes a workbook, certificate, and a medallion.  Contact Jeff Conrad at jeffconrad@duncanvillechurch.org for more information.  Adults can earn God & Country Mentor Pins by assisting with this course.
