A quick update on the Philmont Trek.  The Scouts (Troop 785 and 193) made it to Amarillo in good shape and had fun at the Scout Hut with Troop 80.  We went to dinner at the Pizza Hut and they gave us nine pizzas for $8 each – the best deal in town.  The boys played foosball and pool until about 11:00 then we all crashed for the night. 

 Up at 5:00 am and on the road at 6:00 for an early arrival at Philmont. Stopped in Dalhart for gas and McDonald’s.  Everyone is doing well and spirits are high despite heavy rains green skies and marble sized hail.
